Musical Theatre Exams
Musical Theatre is one of the fastest growing areas of interest within the dramatic arts, and one in which it is unusual to find all three disciplines of drama, dance and singing taught within one syllabus, as we do at A.C.T.A.
Grade examinations in Musical Theatre are available for solo, pair, and group work. The disciplines examined are singing, acting, and movement and the integration of these is the key feature the examiners are looking for.
At A.C.T.A we begin the Musical Theatre Syllabus around ages 10 or 11, moving students through Grade 1 to Grade 8. We also offer appropriate senior students Diploma tuition. New students begin the examination grade appropriate to their age and ability, and do not have to start at Grade 1.
We discuss exam readiness and interest with students and parents at workshops and classes throughout the year.

Exam class fees are based on the number of students in the class, the duration and the total number of lessons required to prepare for the examination. Exam Registration Fees (payable to Trinity Guildhall) apply. Note: If you are an adult student there are no extra tuition fees payable to sit an exam, however, Exam Registration Fees (payable to Trinity Guildhall) still apply.
